Our kitchen has been installed – woo-hoo!!
So happy to see progress on our house is continuing with all cabinetry installed this week!
Bathroom cabinet & shelf- check!
Ensuite cabinet – check!
Kitchen cabinets & shelves – check!
Walk in pantry cabinet and bench-top – check!
Laundry cabinet and bench-top – check!
It’s kind of weird to see all the cabinetry installed without any walls painting or tiles on etc.. Really happy with all our choices, but still have to try and visualise what it will look like when it’s all completed. Getting a little impatient now, even though things have been moving really quickly!
We’re still waiting for the final glass panel in our stacker door to arrive, but hopefully painting will be able to commence next week!
We realised while in the home this week that an error has been made with the sliding doors installed for the main bedroom ensuite and walk-in-robe. We’ve notified our site supervisor and are confident he will be able to rectify it quickly.
External brick cleaning was also completed this week – we ran into the brick-cleaner while on site. I’m wondering if they’ll paint the outside at the same time as the inside painting is completed.
Our site supervisor gave us a timeline of 6 weeks to Practical Completion once the painting has been completed. This should bring us in just under the 20 week timeline, provided there are no major issues that hold-up handover. The way things are going, this shouldn’t be a problem, but really hoping things continue along the smooth path we’ve had so far (fingers crossed!!).
Sliding doors in pantry and rumpus – the same doors have been incorrectly installed in our main bedroom ensuite and walk-in-robe (not very practical):
